Tim Bassett
I started the business in 1987 back in the day when we did loan applications, face-to-face. I worked for a savings and loan back when the conforming loan amount was $99,250. I averaged $3 million a month.
In 1991 I opened up my own Broker shop. It was one of the first in the Washington DC Metro area. We expanded into real estate, property and casualty insurance, life insurance and had our own settlement company. I sold that company to a private equity firm and spent the money going to grad school in the UK.
Later I was national sales manager for a national bank handling retail, wholesale and correspondent lending through 2008. After the meltdown, I took a few years off, and started back in the industry in 2014. I have worked for national franchises and big banks, but I prefer working in a small boutique firm like Warwick Funding. I enjoy helping people get their first house in 2022 and 2023.
I have helped over 50 people buy their first home with grants from state and federal agencies. I also do a lot of work with foreign national investors. I stay out of the fray of the rate wars and focus my energy on people that prefer superb service. That’s what we at Warwick Funding specialize in.
